Amaravati, Apr 6 (IBNS): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telegu Desam Party (TDP) chief, N Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday held a bicycle rally in the state as a protest against the central government over the demand for a special status for his state, media reports said.

Naidu was accompanied by several of his party men.

The bicycle rally took place from Venkatapalem village in Thullur Mandal of Guntur district to the Legislative Assembly.

Naidu on Friday warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the latter's party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), would end up meeting the same fate as the Congress if the central government does not fulfill the demands.

The TDP chief has hinted at a possible downfall of the BJP in the electoral battle which the Congress experienced in last few years.

Naidu's TDP had also pulled itself out of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which runs the central government, over the demands.

In a recent television interview, Naidu said he will continue to fight for the rights of his state.
