Salman Khan convicted in blackbuck hunting case of 1998

Jodhpur, Apr 5 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been convicted in the blackbuck poaching case of 1998, media reports said.

A Jodhpur court on Thursday  pronounced the verdict of 20-year old case of hunting of the endangered Blackbucks by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan during a shooting.

Apart from Salman, actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were also accused in the case.

However, Saif, Tabu. Sonali and Neelam have been acquitted.

The actors were accused of poaching a blackbuck, an endangered species protected under the Indian Wildlife Act, during the shooting of film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.
