New Delhi, Dec 25 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted the people of India on the occasion of Christmas.

"Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. We remember the noble teachings of Lord Christ," the Prime Minister's tweet read.

An annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas is predominantly a Christian festival, but is celebrated by other communities across the globe as well.

It is celebrated annually on Dec 25.
