India's Manushi Chhillar crowned Miss World 2017

New Delhi, Nov 19 (IBNS): Making India proud, Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017.

Chhillar's win comes 17 years after Priyanka Chopra bagged the coveted title in the year 2000.

The 20-year-old medical student from Haryana left behind top five contestants from England, France, Kenya and Mexico to win the crown.

The event was held in Sanya in China.

Participants from 118 countries participated in The Miss World beauty pageant.

Twitter has been flooding with wishes since the win.
