IAF trainer fighter jet crashes at Jodhpur, pilots eject

New Delhi, Jul 6 (IBNS) : A fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed at Balesar near Jodhpur in Rajasthan on Thursday, media reports said.

Both the pilots of the  MiG-23UB jet trainer have ejected safely.

Reports quoted IAF sources as saying  that the jet crashed approximately 60 km from Jodhpur while on a routine training mission.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered.

Mig-23UB trainers are used to train pilots for the Mig-27 fighters in service with the IAF.
