Kashmir: Militants kill army officer in Kulgam

Srinagar, May 10 (IBNS): Suspected militants killed an army officer in Shopian district of south Kashmir, police said on Wednesday.

"A Lieutenant rank army officer, Umar Fayaz, resident of Kulgam, was found dead near Kulgam town early morning today," a police official said.

The officer further stated that Umar joined Indian army recently and was posted as a lieutenant and was presently working with an army unit in Srinagar.
