PM Modi greets people on Mahavir Jayanti
New Delhi, Apr 9 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the people on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
“Greetings on Mahavir Jayanti. We recall the noble teachings of Lord Mahavir, which continue to guide generations," the Prime Minister said.
Mahavir Jayanti is the most important religious festival for Jains.
It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, twenty-fourth and the last Tirthankara (Teaching God) of AvasarpiṇI.
