Top Delhi Congress leader quits party ahead of MCD polls

New Delhi, Apr 3 (IBNS) : Ahead of the upcoming Delhi civic polls the Congress suffers a big jolt as top party leader AK Walia has resigned alleging corruption in distribution of tickets, reports said.

Dr.Walia,  who held major portfolios in the Sheila Dikshit Government in Delhi, has alleged that tickets for MCD elections are being "sold for money" even to "outsiders"  in his constituency.

The veteran leader,  who once  represented Laxmi Nagar constituency, has formidable following in  East Delhi.
