Indian Railways hold Round Table on improving catering facilities

New Delhi, Mar 21 (IBNS): Indian Railways organised a Round Table Conference on Tuesday to improve quality of catering services in Railways, led by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu.

Participants to the conference included representatives from the food and beverage industry, several government agencies such as food craft institutes, FDA, QCI, etc, IRCTC and many others.

During the conference, the minister emphasised that the rate list of the food items served by the catering division has been widely publicised and passengers can report any discrepancy to the Railway Ministry.

The Round Table also discussed ways to ensure provision and availability of quality, hygienic & wholesome food to passengers on Indian Railways.
