J&K DGP launches website for citizens

Jammu, Feb 17 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police S P Vaid on Friday launched a website to make better use of advanced technology to provide updates to the citizens about various policing related activities and adversaries.

The website www.suvidhajkpolice.in, is an initiative by PCR Jammu to provide updates to the citizens about various policing related activities, advisories and National Highway status, an official spokesman said.

Speaking on the occasion, Vaid said that the comprehensive website and mobile application will prove helpful for public to get insight on various policing related activities and important information regarding missing children.

He said that the application contained features like easy access of information to common citizens and notifications on mobiles for the users.

Deliberating on the aims of the website, Vaid said that the website would facilitate the people to get ready information about the police related data compiled at one location for easy access.

People can also get to know status of National Highway prior to start of their journey, Vaid said.

He also dvised the officers to act swiftly to the complaints of common masses on dial 100.

Vaid said that the department has enough resources to adopt the latest technologies and to prepare for acquitting about the latest methods of policing.
