Akhilesh Yadav to meet father and party chief Mulayam accompanied by Azam Khan

Lucknow, Dec 31 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is set to meet father and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh on Saturday in the presence of party senior leader Azam Khan, according to media reports.

On Saturday morning Akhilesh Yadav, who was expelled from the party by Mulayam on Friday, met with the party lawmakers at his official residence in Lucknow.

On Friday, Mulayam Singh expelled son Akhilesh and cousin Ram Gopal Yadav, a senior party member, for weakening the party, according to media reports.

Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that he has the support of over 190 MLAs.

Uttar Pradesh is set to go for its state Assembly elections very soon.

There were also reports of supporters of both sides turning up at the residence and party office and scuffled among them.
