Kolkata, Dec 26 (IBNS): With an aim to continue the fight against the BJP-led-Central government over its move of demonetisation, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee flew to Delhi on Monday afternoon to meet the opposition leaders.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee will join a meeting of 16 opposition parties in Delhi on Tuesday and meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal separately later.

"I have requested the Congress for a meeting and will inform you once I attend the meeting," Mamata Banerjee told the media in Kolkata airport, while she was leaving for Delhi.

Meanwhile, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, who is currently in Kolkata to attend party's state committee meeting, said that Lefts and few other opposition parties, including NCP and RJD, will not attend Tuesday's joint press conference, called by the Congress, over demonetisation issue in Delhi as things were not planned properly.

However, Yechury said that opposition parties' joint agitation against the Centre's demonetisation move will be continued in the parliamentary level.
