New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS) : The issue of demonetisation continued to cripple Parliament since the beginning of the Winter Session on November 16 as both Houses witnessed multiple adjournments on Wednesday in a repeat of happenings on every single day.

Both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha witnessed adjournment till 12 pm and then the Upper House was again adjourned till 2 pm amid uproar and acrimony.

Before the beginning of day 16 of  Parliament, the Opposition party leaders reportedly met to discuss demonetisation.

The BJP's Parliamentary board also met to discuss the issue.

On Tuesday, the RBI  announced that it will shortly issue new notes of Rs 100 and the old notes will continue as legal tender.
