Mamata looks better as Didi, she shouldn't behave like 'Dada', warns Nitish's party

Patna, Dec 4 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): The ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday launched the sharpest attack on West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee after she criticised the former for backing Centre’s demonetisation drive.

“Woh didi ke roop mein bahut achchi lagti hain, unhe dada ke rup mein vyawhar nahin karna chahiye (She looks good in the role of Didi. She shouldn’t behave like a bully),” JD-U general secretary KC Tyagi told the media in Patna, referring to Banerjee.

JD-U’s remarks came after she allegedly referred to her Bihar counterpart as “gaddar” (traitor) during her speech at a protest programme held here on Nov 30.

The JD-U stayed away from her Banerjee’s dharna held to protest Centre’s demonetization drive whereas its partner in power, the RJD, joined the protest.

The JD-U also stayed away from nation-wide shutdown organized by the opposition parties on Nov 28.
