Narendra Modi meets Japanese Emperor Akihito

Tokyo, Nov 11 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Japanese Emperor Akihito here.

"A rare audience that symbolizes the unique warmth between #IndiaJapan. PM @narendramodi greets His Highness Emperor Akihito of Japan," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.

"Speaking of civilizations. PM @narendramodi and Emperor Akihito talk of the common bonds of #IndiaJapan and the future of Asia," read his another tweet.

Modi is currently visiting Japan.

He arrived in the Asian nation on Thursday.
