New Delhi, Nov 1 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

He inaugurated and briefly visited the Jungle Safari in the city.

The Prime Minister met the participants of “Hammar Chhattisgarh Yojana."

He also distributed LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme and solar pumps to mark the launch of Saur Ujala Yojana, to select beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister recalled that it was former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who had ensured the creation of three new states, including Chhattisgarh, in a peaceful and harmonious manner.

He complimented the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh, and the State for showing how a relatively small State could scale new heights of development.
