Bengaluru, Sep 22 (IBNS): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met the state's Governor Vajubhai Vala on Thursday regarding the apex court's directive to release water from the Cauvery to Tamil Nadu and requested him to convene a special Assembly session on Friday, according to media reports.

The CM is also scheduled to visit Delhi to pursue Karnataka's say in the matter of sharing Cauvery waters with Tamil Nadu, media reported.

After a late night cabinet meeting, the CM said that it has been decided to defer the release of more Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
