Srinagar, Sept 4 (IBNS): A 30-member-delegation headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar on Sunday for a two-day visit to the state where it is expected to meet different sections of people, various representatives and political parties at SKICC,

The all-party delegation from 20 parties aims to find a solution to the Kashmir’s current cycle of violence that was triggered by the death of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani.

The Valley witnessed 56 days of harsh curfew during which 73 people have lost their lives and thousands have been injured in the protests that followed the encounter on July 8.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Muft has invited leaders of separatist group Hurriyat Conference for talks with an all-party delegation

The letter by Mehbooba Mufti however has been sent to Hurriyat not in her capacity as the chief minister but as party president of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
