3-storey building collapses in Mumbai, 8 killed

Mumbai, July 31 (IBNS): Eight people have been killed while 15-20 others are feared to be trapped under the debris after a three-storey building collapsed in Bhiwandi near Mumbai on Sunday.

Twelve people have been rescued so far, reports said.

The building collapsed at 5 am in JB Nagar in Bhiwandi.

Following the collapse, four fire engines have been rushed to the spot.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has also called in for rescue operations.

Heavy rains have been affecting the rescue operation, said reports.
