Fire breaks out at four places in Kolkata, 2 injured

Kolkata, Jun 27 (IBNS): Fire incidents were reported from four several locations in Kolkata on Monday, which left two men injured, reports said.
A major fire was noticed around 11:15 am. at Alibaba outlet near Golpark area in south Kolkata. Four fire tender engines rushed to the scene and fire fighters fought for hours to bring the blaze under control. Two persons, including restaurant's owner Rajesh Chaurasia, were injured in the accident and rushed to local hospital.  
 
Another fire broke out in the godown of Kolkata Police Hospital at Bhawanipore area in the afternoon. As many as five fire tender engines went to the spot and doused the blaze. No casualty was reported in the incident.
 
A major fire broke out in a car servicing centre near Park Circus area. Seven fire tender engines rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. After primary investigation, fire officials are suspecting that the fire started due to short circuit. None was injured in the incident.
 
Till the latest update came in, a fire has broken out in a restaurant beside EM Bypass at Metropolitan area in Kolkata. As many as two fire tender engines have reached the spot and fire fighting operation is currently underway there. No casualty has been reported so far.
 
Police and fire department have started probe into all cases to know the exact reasons of the fire incidents.
