3 militants killed in J&K

Srinagar, June 19 (IBNS) At least three militants were killed and two Army personnel were injured in south Kashmir's Buchoo area in Pulwama district on Thursday when government forces fired upon a group of militants who were on a move from Buchoo to Laidyar.

 Acting on specific information about the presence of militants in Buchoo village, Awantipora Police along with 3RR and 185 CRPF cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

The hiding militants opened fire on the search party triggering an encounter in which three militants were killed.

The government forces launched a massive search operation in the area to trace the other militants who reportedly managed to flee from the spot.

A police official confirmed that three militants were killed during the encounter.

He identified the three slain militants as Adil Bashir Mir, resident of Dadasara Tral, Adil Shah of Routhsana and Tariq Ahmed Parrey, a resident of Laribal Tral.
