Engine failure likely led to air ambulance emergency landing near Delhi
New Delhi, May 24 (IBNS) An air ambulance made an emergency landing at a field in Najafgarh, south west of Delhi, which was initially thought to have crashed, according to media reports.
Two of the seven people on board were injured, one seriously, media reported. All passengers have been taken to the hospital, according to local sources.
The Beechking C-90A plane was chartered from the Alchemist Airways, and was travelling from Patna to New Delhi.
Reportedly, the plane was about to land in IGI airport when it developed engine trouble but the pilot managed to steer away from the heavily populated areas of the city and belly land the aircraft in the field.
Patna airport director told NDTV that both engines had shut down.
