Grateful to people for exercising franchise, says Assam CM

Guwahati, Apr 5 (IBNS) As the first phase of Assam assembly polls concluded on Monday, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi lauded the citizens of his state for exercising their rights.

In a tweet, Gogoi said, "I am very grateful to the people who came out in large nos and exercised their franchise to lead Assam towards more progress & prosperity."

The second phase of polls will take place on Apr 11.
