J & K : Mehbooba Mufti allots portfolios, keeps Home for herself

Srinagar, Apr 5 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has allotted portfolios to newly inducted council of ministers, keeping Home for herself.

Deputy Chief Minister, Nirmal Singh has been given Power Development, Housing and Urban Development.

Hurriyat- turned- politician Sajad Gani Lone will hold charge of Social Welfare, ARI and Trainings, while Haseeb Drabu has been given Finance, Labour and Employment and Culture portfolios.

The People's Democratic Party retained few major portfolios like Finance and Education, besides Home.

Chowdry Lal Singh has been  given the responsibility for  Forest, Ecology and Environment While Basharat Bukhari will hold portfolios for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation. 

Naeem Akhter will take the charge of Education, Abdul Gani Kohli will look after Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries while Imran Raza Ansari will retainthe  charge of Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports.

Among the Ministers of State, Asiea Naqash has been assigned with the charge of Housing and Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education.

Sunil Sharma has been given the charge of Science and Technology and Transport (independent), Revenue, PWD and Rural Development, Agriculture, Youth Services and Sports.

Farooq Andrabi will hold the portfolio of  Haj and Auqaf (independent), PHE and Irrigation, PDD Industries and Commerce. Priya Sethi has been assigned with the charge of Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks.

Ajay Nanda has been given charge of Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, CAPD, Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation and Labour and Employment. Zahoor Ahmad Mir will look after Forest, Ecology and Environment, Animal and Sheep husbandry and Cooperatives Fisheries.
