Bengaluru, Mar 28 (IBNS) A youth was stabbed to death in Bengaluru following a scuffle over barking of a dog during the India-Australia T20 match on Sunday night, reports said.

Some young men were watching the match on a big screen at the lower class JC Nagar area in North Central Bengaluru when the another youth, John Kennedy came to the scene accompanied by his dog. During the nail-biting match, his dog started barking. Disturbed by the dog, the cricket fans asked John to go away with his dog. When Kennedy refused, he was thrown out by the angry youth.

A few minutes later, John returned with his friends and attacked the young men. He allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old Avinash with a broken beer bottle. Avinash died on his way to hospital.

The police have arrested Kennedy over charges of murder.
