President of India wishes people of Republic of El Salvador ahead of I-Day

New Delhi, Sept 14 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of El Salvador on the eve of their Independence Day.

In his message to His Excellency Mr. Salvador Sanchez Ceren, the President of the Republic of El Salvador, the President said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the friendly people of El Salvador on the occasion of your Independence Day."

Mukherjee said: "India and El Salvador have a tradition of close friendship and cooperation which has been enhanced and strengthened in recent years. India-SICA interactions have added another positive dimension to our close relations."

"On this occasion, I avail this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency, my best wishes for your personal well-being and the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of El Salvador," he said.
