New Delhi, Aug 31 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday released a special "digital" version of epic 'Ramcharitmanas'.

The digital version has been prepared by the All India Radio.

Calling it a big achievement, Modi said, "The team that has made this digitisation possible have held this effort together for 22 years. This truly is a big achievement."

"This digital version will help the people across the world," he twitted.

The digitisation of Ramcharitmanas  is part of AIR's attempts to go digital in a big way so that the public broadcaster can reach audiences globally.

Several of the AIR's channels are available on mobile apps and the broadcaster is also actively gaining more presence on the internet, they added.
