S Jaishankar inaugurates Indian Embassy's new Chancery in Italy

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday inaugurated the new Chancery of the Indian Embassy in Italy where he is visiting to attend the Outreach session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

The Chancery was inaugurated in Rome.

Jaishankar posted on X: "Pleased to inaugurate the new Chancery of the Embassy of India in Rome today."

He said the Chancery will help in serving the Indian community members in Italy.

"It befits the continued expansion of India - Italy partnership in recent years. Will also help us serve better the Indian community in Italy," Jaishankar said.

Jaishankar will be visiting Italy from November 24 to 26.Jaishankar will be visiting Fiuggi city in Italy for the meeting.

“He is also expected to meet his counterparts from Italy and other participating nations in the G7 related engagements and hold bilateral discussions during the visit,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Saturday.

During the visit, EAM will also participate in the 10th edition of the MED Mediterranean Dialogue in Rome, being organised by Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
