Kargil: Congress complains against Azam Khan
New Delhi, Apr 9 (IBNS) The ruling Congress on Wednesday filed a written complaint with the Election Commission (EC) against Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan for his alleged remarks on the 1999 Kargil War.
Khan had said it was Muslim soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country in the Kargil War.
"The soldiers who brought victory in Kargil were not Hindu but Muslim soldiers. It was our Muslim brothers who conquered the peaks of Kargil mountains," Khan said addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
