Speaking about her missions after winning the beauty pageant, Manushi was clear in her mind that she wants to bring to change in the society. "I am trying to bring change step by step and menstrual hygiene is one such step."

Manushi, who is from Haryana, expressed her joy as her own state has ended a long time practice of gun firing in the marriage which were done to show male domination.

The 20-year old Miss World said the kind of respect she is getting after the win is beyond her expectations.

Revealing the kind of celebrations she is witnessing in her house, Manushi said: "The celebrations are continuing for last one week and I think it will go on for a month now."

After spending 40 days abroad for the competition, Manushi is presently longing to eat foods cooked by her mother, whom the Miss World hugged first after winning the title.

Manushi, however, said she is not feeling any pressure rather "enjoying".

Manushi's win came 17 years after Priyanka Chopra bagged the coveted title in 2000.

The 20-year-old medical student left behind top five contestants from England, France, Kenya and Mexico to win the crown.

The event was held in Sanya in China.

Participants from 118 countries participated in The Miss World beauty pageant.
