People celebrate Diwali, Kali Puja; PM Modi greets nation

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday wished people on the occasion of festival Diwali.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this festival further brightness and happiness. May everyone be prosperous and healthy."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished people on the occasion of Kali Puja which is celebrated in Kolkata.

Banerjee tweeted, "Heartiest greetings to all on the occasion of Kali Pujo and Deepavali. Please maintain physical distancing during festivities. Wear a mask, stay safe."

Bollywood actor Priety Zinta tweeted, "Happy Dhanteras and a very Happy Diwali & a Happy New Year to all of you May this festival of lights bring light into the darkest spaces & places in our lives & fill everyone with happiness & prosperity. Love you all."

Actor-parliamentarian Mimi Chakraborty tweeted, "Happy diwali."
