JK: More than 100 artists participate in cultural programme in Samba

Srinagar/IBNS: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Linguistics Sub-Office, Kathua organized a music and dance programme at Chani Jasu, Samba where more than 100 artists showcased their talent.  

The artists were welcomed by a large number of attendees who applauded their mesmerizing performances time and time again. 

Keshav Sharma District Development Commissioner Samba was the guest and Subhash Bhagat was the chief guest.

DDC Samba while expressing his views appreciated the efforts made by the JKACL sub-office, Kathua. 

He said that the steps taken by the JKACL sub-office for the promotion and protection of the art and culture of Kathua state can never be denied.

He also appreciated the performances of all the artists who mesmerized everyone with their magical presentations. There is no other place on earth where one can find the diversity of culture that we have in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He further said that everyone should come forward to preserve the culture of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and take it as a priority and responsibility for all to nurture the values of their culture and tradition.

This programme was organized under the direction of the Secretary Cultural Academy.  

The programme started with a mesmerizing performance by CS Kittal and Party and TS Premi and Party. Nagini Cultural Group of Bhaderwah enthralled everyone with their Bhadrwahi Kid. 

This was followed by two dance shows by Ricky Malhotra and Party, Saddam Hussain and Party, Jyoti Devi and Party, Mohinder Kumar and Party, and Vomidh Ranmanch who left no stone unturned to make it a successful event. 

The highlight of the event was Khajoor Singh's Getru and Mohan Mistry and Party's Party and Haran. 

Both gave out-of-their-world performances with professional ease.
