Prodyut Mukherjee, Grammy Jury member and GiMA award-winning tabla maestro, captivated an esteemed gathering at the Lunch Music Concert hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in honour of Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
Mukherjee shared the stage with noted artists Ranjan Kumar and Satish Kumar Pathak, presenting a rich and evocative musical showcase.
The ensemble delivered a sublime repertoire featuring Raga Sarang, Mishra Khamaj, “Winds of Change,” Garba music, and a range of celebrated compositions including Piya Tose Naina Lage Re, Imagine, Baul music of Bengal, Barsan Lagain Balamji, Kajri, Volare, Mohe Panghat Pe Nandalal, Jamuna Se Jal Bhar Lo, Dadra, and My Way.

The concert stood as a vibrant tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage, with Mukherjee’s stellar tabla performance drawing admiration from the distinguished guests.
The Prime Minister’s initiative to present India’s diverse artistic traditions to international dignitaries highlights the country’s continued emphasis on cultural diplomacy and soft power engagement.
