Mumbai, Feb 9 (IBNS) Sarod artists Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan are all set to perform with noted Grammy nominated violinist Elmira Darvarova.

The siblings, who have collaborated with Elmira Darvarova in the past also, are excited about their performance.

"Every collaboration should have a jounce and destination. Elmira Darvarova is an artiste of very high repute. She has got Grammy nominations for her numerous albums. Our journey started last year.Over the year, we have grown with each others music and have developed a comfort level because its very easy to connect to the person you are performing with on the stage. We will be sharing each others traditions and treasures," said Ayaan

The concert also gives the audience a glimpse of Amaan and Ayaans next album "Soul Strings".

"We are playing some tracks from Soul Strings and some new tracks will also be there. Its going to be extremely collective. Its very unusual for us to collaborate as we represent Indian Classical music and she Western. To come to a meeting point and mixing both the traditions together is something which has always intrigued me," Amaan said.

He believes Indian classical music is currently going through a great phase.

"Its at the top of the game. Colleges are happily presenting classical nights in their festivals and that itself speaks volumes about the classical music in India. Youth are highly interested in it," he said.

They are also looking forward to their performance with their father and legendary sarod player Amjad Ali Khan in New York in March.
