Kolkata/IBNS: City-based Divine Inspiration, a cultural organisation founded by sitar player Anjan Saha and Odissi dancer Dr Kaberi Sen, recently organised a music and dance festival titled ‘Anantya’ (Bliss Infinity).

The programme was held in collaboration with the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, which is part of the Union Ministry of Culture.

Guests for the evening included Ustad Sabir Khan, Guru Poly Guha and Dr Puspita Muherjee.

Senior disciples of Dr Sen presented dance recitals Saraswati Vandana (composed by Shankarlal Mehta), and Anandam, which was choreographed by Dr Sen herself and music composed by Anjan Saha.

This was followed by tabla recitals by Subhojyoti Guha and Subrata Bhattacharya and a vocal recital by Sanjoy Bannerjee (accompanied by Bibhas Sanghai on tabla and Anirban Chakrabarty on the harmonium).

The programme was presented by Sonali Chattopadhyay.
