Kolkata, Dec 3 (IBNS): Get up and running in style this winter with ASICS, a sports footwear and apparel brand from Japan, opening their store in Kolkata.
ASICS India currently has 34 stores in 16 cities across the country. The Kolkata store will have a wide range of running, training and core performance sports shoes, apparel and accessories for men and women.

“The brand plans on expanding its horizon in India in order to meet the demands of the customers as their getting more conscious in regards to health and fitness,” said Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India.

The prices of shoes start from Rs 3500.

ASICS has partnered with TATA Consultancy Service for the 25 km run that the latter is organizing on December 16 in Kolkata.

When asked about the USP of ASICS amidst increasing competition in the sports market, Khurana said, “At ASICS, we take pride in the fact that it is a true performance oriented brand. While other companies have branched out to include lifestyle segments, we have a single point focus here at ASICS and that I think is what is unique about us.”

The store is located at South City Mall in Kolkata.
