Indian Idol Academy children's choir enthralls audience with their musical concert in Kolkata

Kolkata, June 15 (IBNS): Unleashing their creative potential, the first batch of the Indian Idol Academy's Children’s Choir, delivered a riveting 60-minute Live Musical titled “Idol Se Ideal Tak” at Nazrul Tirtha in Kolkata.

The musical depicted the journey of Adarsh Kumar—a fictional musical prodigy from a village in a storytelling format interspersed with songs and acting.

The screen featured Indian Idol Academy legends like Hariharan, Salim, Kavita Krishna Murthy and Alka Yagnik during the show. The children from the choir sang and enacted their own roles simultaneously on stage in true musical opera style.

The Indian Idol Academy, an initiative by brand idol owner FremantleMedia and KarmYog Education Network Pvt. Ltd. presented their first choir from Kolkata of 11 participants who were handpicked and trained for live stage shows by the very best in the industry.

The participants of the choir were selected through different platforms like talent hunts at Durga Puja Pandals, through Academy Music Discovery Program, and via participation in Academy Choir Camp.

The children who were then selected underwent intensive musical camp designed to groom  and make  them stage ready to perform live The first batch of choir started practicing and performing since December 2014.
