West Bengal hosts 'Dignity-2015'

Kolkata, Mar 21 (IBNS): The Dignity-2015, organized by the West Bengal Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Development and Finance Corporation (WBSCSTDFC) and the Backward Classes Welfare Department of West Bengal government, ended in Kolkata on Saturday.
State's Backward Classes Welfare minister Upendra Nath Biswas and principal secretary of WB Backward Classes Welfare department S. K. Thade were present at the concluding event, held at Tarani Majhir Ghat in Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium.
 
Upendranath Biswas said, "This initiative will get a big success in near future. Our government is working for the development of the backward classes."
 
The Dignity programme was organized to remember the historic 1873 movement for dignity and equality before law.
 
The Dignity 2015 was observed at Bongaon, Bagda, Haringhata, Ranaghat and Coopers' Camp before during Mar 9 to 11.
