Dreaming of a Deepika-Ranveer style wedding? Check out Shaadi by Marriott

Kolkata, Nov 29 (IBNS): Even if you are not a Bollywood star or from a wealthy industrialist's family, there is no reason why you should not have a grand wedding.

And to drive home the point, Marriott International hit upon the idea of 'Shaadi by Marriott', where they take on the onerous task of ideation to execution so that your wedding turns into a superlative and unforgettable experience in every way.

The customized wedding campaign, which hosted its first event in New Delhi in 2017, debuted in Kolkata recently, which also happened to be the fifth edition across India.

The first-ever Shaadi by Marriott in Kolkata was jointly hosted by JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata, ITC Sonar, and The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat.

The highlight of the evening was a fashion presentation by House of Masaba, who premiered their first ever bridal collection at the event.

While introducing her collection, Masaba Gupta, one of the leading Indian fashion designers, raised a very pertinent issue.

“Today, Indian weddings are synonymous to pageantry and amidst the spectacle, we have forgotten the intimacy of the union," she pointed out.

Therefore her bridal collection focuses on embracing the affinity of the bond without minimizing the edge and sophistication, said Gupta.

The collection was presented in the format of a wedding as part of the Shaadi by Marriott campaign and began with a Marwari Sangeet that transformed into a Bengali Shaadi.

The showstopper for the bridal fashion show was model and actress, Rukmini Maitra, who was dressed in  a dazzling bridal ensemble from the designer’s latest collection.

The fashion show was complemented with a lavish and food and beverage spread with a cutting edge culinary demonstration adding a personal touch to each menu,

These menus can be tailor-made for every wedding occasion and palette, the organizers assured the select group of guests.

Specialized chefs showcased a delectable fare, ranging from Indian regional to international fare, including Awadhi, Bengali, Marwari, Italian, Chinese and Thai.

Gaurav Singh, General Manager, JW Marriott Kolkata and Cluster GM- Bangladesh said, "At Marriott,  we not  only  host  a  wedding,  but  make  sure  we  create  memories  of  a  lifetime.  Shaadi  by Marriott  is  a  promise  of  faith,  trust,  quality  and  value,  and  we  ensure  to  provide  a  personalized  and seamless  wedding  experience  to  our  guests."
