Kolkata/IBNS: StageCraft Foundation, a Kolkata-based organisation, which has been highlighting the contributions of those craftspeople who work behind the scenes to ensure the best of on-stage live performances, has now moved a step ahead to ensure medical help for them too.

This year, StageCraft Foundation has tied up with Apollo Hospitals and Disha Eye Hospitals to provide free of cost health check-ups and cataract surgeries to the 35 winners of the StageCraft Awards and their immediate family members.

"The foundation was instituted to acknowledge the contributions of the behind-the-scenes-stars of live entertainment.

"The initiative is in line with the mission and we are thankful to both Apollo Hospitals & Disha Eye Hospitals for coming forward to support our cause,” said well-known singer Usha Uthup, Founder Trustee & Chairperson of StageCraft.

The announcement of the tie-up was made recently along with the unveiling of the StageCraft Award 2023 trophy.

Apart from Uthup, others present at the event included Rana Dasgupta, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Dr Tushar Kanti Sinha, Co-Founder, Senior Consultant & Head of Retina Services, Disha Eye Hospital, Anurag Kumar, Director, Science City and the core team members of StageCraft Foundation, including Gautam Jain, Shiladitya Chaudhury, Anil Kuriokose and Mr Dibyendu Lahiri.

The StageCrafts Awards will be held after a hiatus of four years on September 9, 2023 at the Science City Auditorium.
