Kolkata, July 31 (IBNS): Here is your chance to go on a culinary tour of Italy right here in Kolkata at the JW Kitchen, the all-day dining outlet of JW Marriott Kolkata, which is hosting a Italian food festival until Sunday.

The menu has been curated by expat specialty Chef Valter Belli along with the in house culinary team  

Savour an array of classic and flavorsome soups such as ‘Barley pearl with mushrooms and chicken soup’, ‘Octopus and chickpea soup’ and ‘Potato gnocchi stuffed with Taleggio cheese’.

Relish the appetizers such as ‘Duck Breast ham and caramelized fig bruschetta’, ‘Antipasto Emiliano’, a mix of Italian cold cut, gnocco fritto, erbazzone savory cake, grill vegetable and ‘Vitello Tonnato’, cold sliced veal loin, seasonal green salad, tuna capers sauce and bread parmesan crouton.

Entrée include ‘Crispy pork belly with cauliflower puree and balsamic caramelized onion', ‘Mackerel fillet with cream of Roman broccoli, purple cauliflower and potato gnocchi', ‘Filet of sea bass with red lentil cream, fried polenta'.

Choose from ‘Angle hair creamy shrimp pasta’, ‘Beetroot risotto with sea bass filet’, ‘Chocolate Ravioli pasta with pumpkin and sage stuffing’ and more.

Desserts include authentic ‘Siphon tiramisu’, ‘Zuppainglese’, ‘Chocolate and pistachio semifreddo’ and ‘Almond Semifreddo, wrapped in a red velvet powder, topping with torched Italian meringue' and more.
