New Delhi/UNI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the Class 10th exam results, with an overall pass percentage of 91.46 per cent.

As per the initial reports, the overall pass percentage for CBSE Class X Result 2020 has gone up marginally to 91.46 per cent, marking a slight improvement of 0.36 per cent over last year’s success ratio.

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal confirmed the declaration of CBSE 10th Result 2020. He also sent out a congratulatory message to all the students for stellar performance in the results.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, HRD minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said,”Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers!

@cbseindia29 has announced the results of Class X and can be accessed at cbseresults.nic.in. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate, student's health & quality education are our priority.”

In a message Manoj Ahuja, Chairman CBSE said,”Heartiest congratulations to the students, parents and teachers. For the students, the transition from secondary to senior secondary classes is an important milestone, as you can choose from a large number of subjects, both vocational and academic. Wishing you all the success.”

The board has prepared class 10 result on the basis of the alternate assessment scheme it had submitted in Supreme Court on June 26.

As per the revised assessment scheme, students who sat for all their examinations in class 10 will have their final result declared based on their performance in the exam.

For students who appeared for exam in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in best of three performing subjects will be awarded for subjects for which exam could not be held.

For students who could appear for exam in only three subjects, the average of marks obtained in two best performing subjects will be awarded.
