Kolkata/IBNS: Popular Bengali rock band Fossils talked about their new album release 'Fossils 7' at Mirchi Fanfest here on Saturday.

Imperial Blue Superhit Nights, in partnership with Mirchi Fanfest, orchestrated a musical extravaganza in Kolkata with performances by Raj Burman, Euphoria, Fossils, and Parmish Verma.

Talking about their new album, Fossils said, "We are almost done with the album, and it's going to be released this year before pujo."

When asked about the trend of Bengali band culture, Fossils said, "We have done more shows in the past two years as compared to the last 20 years. And wherever we went, we witnessed the huge influx of people, with some coming with their next generation."

"We always try to create new music, and we are doing a lot of live shows for our audience, and I think that binds us," added Fossils.

"The people and the concertgoers who come to our concerts year after year are our biggest motivations," said Euphoria, talking about the motivation to still create music.

"The concert in Kolkata was a massive success, with a stellar line-up of artists and the audience's energy reinforcing Imperial Blue's core philosophy of embracing life with a smile," said Ishwindar Singh, General Manager, Marketing, Pernod Ricard India.
