Afghanistan: Attack in Ghazni’s Andar district ends, 25 killed

Gardez, Oct 17 (IBNS):The fierce clash, which erupted after a car bombing in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, left at least 25 people dead on Tuesday, media reports said.

The deceased included Afghanistan policemen and Talibans, reports said.

The official, who declined to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants detonated an explosives-laden truck in the district early in the morning.

The explosion occurred after the Taliban militants launched coordinated attacks on the police headquarter and police training centre around 9.30 a.m..

Abdullah Hasrat, the Paktia governor’s spokesman, said most of the injured people were civilians.

As per Pajhwok Afghan News report, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has confirmed the car bombing and clash.
