India team for ODI series , T20I against Sri Lanka announced, R Ashwin, Jadeja rested

Mumbai, Aug 13 (IBNS): Indian cricketers Mohammed Shami, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested for the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked the India Cricket Team for the five-match One Day International series and only Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka.

Virat Kohli has been named the skipper of the squad.

Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey and Mumbai's Shardul Thakur have been included in the 15-men team.

Yuvraj Singh could not find a spot in the team.

India are already 2-0 up in the Test series and are on the edge of winning the third match of the series to clinch it 3-0.

The ODI series will commence from Aug 20 at Dambulla. The fifth ODI will be played on Sept 3 in Colombo.

The T20 match will be played on Sept 6.

The team is as follows:

Virat Kohli (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (vice captain), KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur.
