Two congress leaders killed in Assam

Guwahati, June 25 (IBNS): Congress’s Assam unit president Ripun Bora on Sunday alleged that the BJP-led state government had tortured upon Congress workers, supporters in the state.

Ripun Bora, who also representing Assam in the Rajya Sabha said  recently two Congress leaders were murdered in the state, but the Assam police and administration are yet to arrest any person who involved in the murder cases.

On Saturday night, a Congress leader was killed by miscreants at his house in Assam’s Lakhimpur district.

According to the reports, at least three armed masked men had killed the congress leader by using sophisticated weapons at his house at Jonai in the northern Assam district.

The deceased congress leader was identified as Hiranya Doley.

Earlier, another congress leader was killed by miscreants at Naoboicha area in the same district.

The Congress’s Assam unit president said that, law and order situation in the state has been gradually worsened as rape, murder incidents have been dramatically increased during BJP led state government tenure.


"These two recent killing incidents indicating that, secret killings time has been returned to the state," Ripun Bora said.
