Valve made from cow's hearts saves woman in Chennai
Chennai, Jul 16 (IBNS) In a unique surgical feat in India, an 81-year-old woman in Chennai has been saved using a heart valve made from a cow's heart.
Reports said the patient from Hyderabad was suffering from a severe heart disease. She had undergone a valve replacement surgery in the past but her condition worsened
The novel surgery, which lasted for over three hours, was conducted at the Frontier Lifeline Hospital.
The doctors replaced the woman's diseased valve with a new one. her blood pressure was also not stable.
