Srinagar records coldest night

Srinagar, Nov 28 (IBNS) The minimum temperature in J&K's summer capital Srinagar was recorded at minus 0.5 degree celsius as all other places in the Kashmir Valley also stood below the freezing point, an official said on Saturday.

Senior weather official said Srinagar witnessed coldest night of the season so far as the minimum temperature dropped to minus 0.5 degree celsius.

Official further added other places of the valley, the night temperatures fell several marks less than the freezing point.

Kashmir’s tourist destinations recorded minimum temperature as Gulmarg with minus 7.1 degrees while in Pahalgam recorded minus 4.6 degrees.

Foggy weather which had affected air and plane traffic in the Kashmir Valley during the last five days.

A thin winter sun greeted people in Srinagar on Saturday morning.
