Pune, Jul 28 (UNI) Thunderstorm observed for the last 24 hours at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Rajasthan and Madhya Maharashtra and active over Punjab, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha and Telangana. It has been subdued over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
According to Met officials, heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Konkan and Goa and east Rajasthan, pockets in Madhya Maharashtra, west Rajasthan,Gujarat Region, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Odisha, coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Marathawada, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Bihar and Jharkhand. Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral, southwest and north Arabian Sea and westcentral Bay of Bengal.
Squally weather is likely to prevail over Odisha-West Bengal, Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during next 24 hours.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telanagana, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Lakshadweep.
