India's Covid-19 cases on the rise, over 13,000 cases reported in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: In a further spike in coronavirus cases, 13,313 fresh infections were reported from across the country of 1.3 billion people in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported Thursday.

In the same span of time, 38 deaths apparently linked to the virus were reported.

In 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 10,972 Covid-19 patients have recovered, taking the recovery percentage to 98.6%.

The active cases, which are currently 83,990, constitutes 0.19% of the total number of infections reported so far in the country.

Under the national vaccination drive, 196.62 anti-Covid vaccine doses were administered in the country.
